By accessing or using Flip Ledger Translator ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
Flip Ledger Translator is a translation and language-assistance application. It provides live translated conversations, text/photo/document translation, plain-language document summaries, reminders, contacts, and related features. The Service is a translation and organizational aid — it does not provide legal, medical, financial, or immigration advice, and translations and summaries may contain errors. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Flip Ledger Translator offers a single paid subscription plan at $6.99/month, which includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, your account will be charged based on your selected billing cycle. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to active subscribers.
3. Your Own AI Provider Account
Translation and voice features require you to connect your own Anthropic and/or OpenAI account and API key. Any usage costs charged by those providers are your responsibility and are billed to you directly by them, not by us. We do not mark up or charge for your AI usage.
4. Cancellation Policy
We offer a 7-day free trial so you can evaluate the Service before being charged. After the trial period, we do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days at theflipledgertranslator@yahoo.com and we will review your case.
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all content you submit for translation and all data you enter into the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties. Upon account cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
6. Guest and Invited Contacts
If you invite a contact to an ongoing conversation, you are responsible for having that person's consent to communicate with them through the Service. Invited guest accounts are limited to their conversation with you and cannot access any of your other data.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Reverse engineer or copy any part of the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
8. Translation Accuracy Disclaimer
Translations, transcriptions, and plain-language summaries are generated by third-party AI services and may not be perfectly accurate. Do not rely on Flip Ledger Translator as your sole source of understanding for legal, medical, financial, or immigration documents — always confirm important information with a qualified professional or an official interpreter where the stakes are high.
9. Disclaimers
Flip Ledger Translator is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that translations will be perfectly accurate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Flip Ledger LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including damages resulting from translation errors or missed deadlines.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
